We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the Canadian equity market structure, institutional client community, and trading dynamics. Pre-existing relationships with Canadian institutional investors (asset managers, hedge funds, pension funds, global accounts) are highly desirable. Alternatively, we welcome a highly motivated, high-energy go-getter with a passion for building a business from the ground up. This is a unique opportunity to shape and lead a growing platform within a global equities franchise.

  • Manage complex order types including block trades, portfolio trades, VWAP/participation strategies, and urgent executions
  • Monitor Canadian equity markets continuously, tracking flow dynamics, sector moves, macro developments, and corporate actions
  • Work closely with electronic and algorithmic trading teams to deliver integrated high-touch and low-touch execution solutions
  • Maintain rigorous risk management, compliance standards, and information barrier protocols

Business Development & Client Coverage

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand market share and competitive positioning
  • Collaborate with global trading colleagues to align Canadian strategy with broader platform capabilities
  • Support development of internal workflows, trading protocols, coverage models, and operational processes
  • Act as a senior point of contact and subject matter expert for Canadian equities execution
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, high performance, and client-first service

Market Intelligence & Collaboration
  • Delivering timely and actionable market commentary to clients and internal stakeholders
