Position SummaryDefinitive Innovative Solutions (DIS) is a growing federal government contracting company seeking a Senior Hardware/Software Technician that will lead a dynamic team that provides IT repair, maintenance, operations, logistics, and engineering services to help ensure secure, reliable and uninterrupted availability of Endpoint IT Systems.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and resolve common hardware and network issues including video cards, desktop/laptop issues, cabling and physical layer networking issues, printer troubleshooting and maintenance, and software related issues.
- Diagnose and resolve problems with desktop systems, printers, digital senders, mobile devices, and other standard office equipment through both remote and deskside support.
- Perform system imaging, operating system deployment, software installation, BIOS configuration, laptop imaging, issuance, and desktop PC setup.
- Complete basic hardware work as directed, including cable management, desktop PC installation, monitors, KVMs, and workstation deployments.
- Provide technical support and customer service via email, phone calls, ticketing systems, and in person interactions, ensuring timely resolution of end user issues.
- Support and maintain Active Directory user accounts, security groups, permissions, and related administrative functions.
- Assist with Software Defined Networking (SDN) administration and troubleshooting, including support for Aruba ClearPass environments.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel efficiently for reporting, analysis, inventory tracking, documentation, and operational support activities.
- Maintain accurate records of assets, configurations, system changes, support activities, and ticket documentation to ensure compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Conduct validation of ticket information to ensure completeness and accuracy and escalate issues via the ticketing system and requests for assistance as needed.
- Provide input to and update standard operating procedures, technical documentation, and knowledge base articles.
- Participate in and/or lead special projects and day-to-day IT operations as assigned.
- Consistently remain customer-focused and provide a high level of customer service.
- Interact daily with supervisors, peers, and customers while maintaining a professional, courteous, and customer centric approach.
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Qualifications- TS/SCI eligible clearance
- DoDI 8140 IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security +CE)
- DoD 8570 Compliance - Appropriate training and/or certification for the computing environment
