Full Job Description
Oura's NPI Supply Chain Operations team is responsible for taking new hardware programs from early builds through mass production, on schedule, at quality, and within budget. We're looking for an Operations Program Specialist (OPS) who can own the financial backbone of our NPI programs while also staying close enough to the factory floor to understand what's driving the numbers. The majority of your time will be spent managing and reconciling NPI program budgets across multiple hardware programs and contract manufacturers - tracking build spend, closing gaps between forecast and actuals, and giving leadership a clear, trustworthy picture of where the money is going. The remainder of your time will be spent supporting factory builds directly: coordinating material readiness, tracking build risks, and helping ensure lines come up on schedule. You'll work across Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Sourcing, and Finance, and directly with our contract manufacturers. This is a hybrid role requiring someone to work out of our San Francisco office 2-3 days a week. What You Will Do: Budget Management & Reconciliation - Lead the FY budget development for Operations in conjunction with the broader Supply Chain and Engineering teams. - Own the day-to-day tracking and reconciliation of NPI program budgets across multiple concurrent hardware programs, including ops builds, tooling, and NPI-related capital and operating expenses. - Partner with program leads, sourcing, engineering, and finance to understand the drivers behind any variance between forecasted and actual spend, and drive resolution. - Maintain and evolve budget consolidation workbooks and reporting tools that roll program-level detail up into executive-ready summaries. - Manage the reallocation of funds across programs and cost categories as priorities shift, ensuring every change is accounted for and traceable. - Prepare and present regular budget status updates to program and functional leadership, flagging risks and open items proactively. - Maintain fiscal integrity and audit-readiness across all tracked spend as nothing should be a surprise at quarter close. - Continuously improve budget tracking processes and tooling to reduce manual reconciliation effort and improve forecast accuracy. - Work and align with the Cost Innovation and CapEx teams on build cost actualization and cost control. Hardware Operations / NPI Build Support - Support factory NPI builds (Proto/EVT/DVT/PVT and early mass production) by tracking material readiness, build risks, build matrix planning, material drive, and open issues alongside the program team and contract manufacturers. - Act as a point of coordination between internal Ops teams and CM operations teams during line bring up activities and builds. - Identify opportunities to streamline and automate operational workflows; build or contribute to tools that reduce manual effort and improve data visibility across the team - Assess, analyze, and consolidate cross-functional data into concise, actionable briefings for management and executive audiences - Help ensure lines are brought up on schedule and within budget, connecting on-the-ground build activity back to the financial picture you own. This is a hybrid role out of our San Francisco office. What you'll bring - 7+ years of experience in financial planning/budget management, program management, supply chain, or manufacturing operations (a combination of budget and hardware operations experience is ideal). - Advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel/Google Sheets) and comfort building and maintaining complex, multi-program budget/reconciliation workbooks. - Experience with AI tools, automation, or scripting (Python, SQL, no-code/low-code, LLM-based tooling) to streamline budget tracking or reporting workflows. - Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to translate detailed financial and operational data into clear, concise updates for executive audiences. - High attention to detail and comfort managing multiple concurrent workstreams and deadlines. - Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence without direct authority, across internal teams and external contract manufacturers. - Up to 10% global travel is required for this position. San Francisco in-office work is required. Nice to have: - Experience in the consumer electronics or hardware industry, ideally supporting NPI programs. - Familiarity with NPI phase gates (Proto/EVT/DVT/PVT/MP) and CM/factory operations. - Database or statistical software experience (SQL, SPSS, SAS, or similar) a plus. - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field. - Note: Up to 10% global travel is required for this position. San Francisco in-office work is required. Benefits At Ōura, we care about you and your well-being.
