Revenue Operations, part of DigitalOcean's Revenue Organization, owns the systems that power our go-to-market motion - Salesforce at the center, connected to sales engagement (Outreach, including Kaia), customer success (Planhat), CPQ (DealHub), enrichment (Clay, Sumble), marketing automation touchpoints, and our Snowflake data layer. We're hiring a Senior GTM Engineer to own the project work that moves this stack forward.
This is the builder role on the team, you take on the tier 2 escalations and the project work: implementations, integrations, automation, and the AI-powered workflows reshaping how our GTM teams operate. You'll work with our Technical Program Manager on scoped initiatives, contribute to solution design, and be trusted to take a defined project from design through delivery across any tool in the stack.
What You'll Do- Deliver project work across the GTM stack: new tool implementations, integration builds, automation of routing/handoff/lifecycle processes, and cross-tool enhancements - owning them from design through testing, rollout, and enablement
- Handle tier 2 escalations: the flow errors, integration failures, data model questions, and cross-system issues that frontline triage can't resolve - tracing them to root cause and shipping durable fixes rather than patches
- Build and maintain integrations and data flows using iPaaS tooling (e.g. Fivetran) and APIs, keeping data like account ownership, territories, routing, and product catalogs consistent from Snowflake to Salesforce to every downstream tool
- Build AI-powered workflows: implement AI agents and LLM-based automation (triage, enrichment, next-step capture), work with MCP integrations across the stack, and propose new places AI can remove manual work
- Do meaningful Salesforce work: complex flows, data model changes, permission architecture updates, sandbox and release management - plus equivalent depth in Outreach, Planhat, DealHub, and Clay as projects demand
- Contribute to solution design: partner with the TPM and senior engineers on requirements and architecture, flag tradeoffs and downstream impacts you see, and pressure-test proposed approaches against how the systems actually behave
- Coordinate with vendors on implementations, support cases, and POCs, and evaluate new tools hands-on
- Raise the team's bar: document your builds, establish reusable patterns, and mentor the IC2 engineer on troubleshooting and configuration
What You'll Bring- 5+ years administering and building on GTM/business systems, with real depth in Salesforce (flows, data model, permissions, deployments) and hands-on experience in at least two other GTM tool categories - sales engagement, CS platforms, CPQ, enrichment, or marketing automation
- A delivery record: projects you owned end to end - implementations, integrations, or process automations - that shipped and held up in production
- Integration experience: you've built and debugged real integrations via iPaaS tools and/or APIs, and you understand auth, rate limits, sync direction, and failure modes
- Hands-on experience (or strong demonstrated interest) applying AI to systems work: agents, LLM-powered automation, or MCP-style integrations
- Data fluency: comfortable with SQL and warehouse concepts, able to trace a data quality issue from source to destination
- Root-cause discipline: you fix the class of problem, not the instance, and you write it up so it stays fixed
- Strong stakeholder skills: you can turn a vague request into a scoped piece of work, communicate progress and tradeoffs clearly, and push back constructively
- Familiarity with code (Apex, Python, or JavaScript) - enough to read, understand, and review it; heavy development is not the job
- Salesforce certifications (Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder) are a plus
What Success Looks Like- First 90 days: You've shipped your first project, tier 2 escalations route to you naturally, and you understand how the major systems in the stack connect
- First 6 months: You own multiple concurrent projects with the TPM, your fixes have measurably reduced recurring escalations, and at least one AI-powered workflow you built is live
- First year: You're the trusted builder for anything in the stack - new tools, integrations, or AI workflows - and your patterns and documentation are how the team ships
