The Position:
As the Senior Growth Marketing Manager, you will serve as Ellis Porter's first dedicated in-house marketing leader and play a foundational role in shaping our growth marketing function. In this role, you will have the opportunity to create the strategy, systems, and operating model for how marketing drives awareness, inquiries, and client growth across the firm. You will work closely with firm leadership and cross-functional partners to build a scalable, data-informed marketing engine that thoughtfully incorporates AI tools and supports our current growth priorities while laying the foundation for future expansion across audiences.
This position is ideal for a hands-on, builder-minded marketer who is excited by the opportunity to own and develop a broad range of growth marketing capabilities, including paid advertising, landing pages, email journeys, tracking and reporting, automation, and marketing operations, while helping define what modern marketing looks like at Ellis Porter.
This position can be fully remote from any U.S. location, or based in either our Troy, MI or Ann Arbor, MI office as an in-person or hybrid role. Please note - although this role can be remote, all work must be performed within the United States.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and lead the firm's growth marketing strategy, decide which channels and campaigns to invest in, with a focus on B2C audience growth, client acquisition, and marketing-generated inquiries.
- Manage paid advertising initiatives across major search and social platforms, including emerging channels, covering strategy, execution, optimization, and performance analysis.
- Design and implement scalable workflows, automation, and channel strategies that incorporate AI tools where appropriate to expand execution capacity and support data-informed decision-making.
- Create, test, and optimize our landing pages and conversion pathways to improve the percentage of marketing traffic that turns into qualified inquiries and clients.
- Own marketing automation and follow-up journeys, including email campaigns, retargeting, and other initiatives that guide prospective clients from initial inquiry through retention and conversion.
- Manage and build HubSpot marketing workflows, including campaigns, defined metrics reporting, attribution, and dashboard development.
- Identify, evaluate, engage, and manage external vendors when needed, while maintaining in-house ownership of strategy, performance, and outcomes.
- Monitor and report on key marketing performance indicators, and present results, opportunities, and areas for improvement to leadership.
What Skills and Experience You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5-8+ years of experience in growth marketing, performance marketing, demand generation, or a related field, with experience building marketing infrastructure from the ground up.
- Demonstrated experience managing paid acquisition channels and supporting conversion infrastructure, such as landing pages, email automation, tracking, analytics, and reporting.
- Strong understanding of B2C marketing strategy and customer acquisition, with interest in or readiness to support future B2B marketing efforts as the firm expands.
- Experience working across multiple marketing channels, with deep expertise in at least two areas such as paid media, lifecycle/email marketing, SEO/AEO, or conversion rate optimization.
- Genuinely AI-native using AI tools in a practical, workflow-driven way to improve speed, quality, insight generation, and execution capacity.
- Experience working in HubSpot or a similar CRM/marketing automation platform, including building workflows, campaigns, dashboards, and reporting from scratch.
- Strong analytical, communication, and collaborations skills, including the ability to interpret performance data, identify trends, and present results-oriented recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and build structure in a role with broad scope and significant ownership.
- High level of curiosity, resourcefulness, and accountability, with a willingness to test ideas, learn quickly, and build from the ground up.
