Are you an experienced geotechnical engineer ready to take the next step in your career? Stantec is a global engineering consulting firm dedicated to creating sustainable and innovative solutions. We are seeking a motivated Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Edmonton team and help deliver impactful projects in our community.

The successful candidate will work closely with a local team of 30 geotechnical professionals based out of Edmonton, supported by a wider, regional team of over 200 geotechnical professionals.

Your Opportunity
  • Innovative Environment: Leverage cutting-edge tools (UAVs, AI-integrated solutions) and contribute to Stantec's Innovation Office and Digital Center of Excellence.
  • Client Engagement: Build relationships with clients, understand their needs, and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Lead and Deliver Projects: Manage and execute small to mid-sized geotechnical projects from proposal through completion, including planning, analysis, reporting, and client communication.
  • Technical Leadership: Apply your expertise to complex analyses, mentor junior staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables.

Education and Experience
  • Minimum of a post graduate degree in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from a recognized university.
  • Minimum of 20 years' experience in geotechnical consulting.
  • Valid Canadian driver's license with access to a vehicle.
  • Ability to live and work in Canada.
  • Residing in Edmonton, Alberta, or willing to relocate.

The successful candidate will be required to primarily work in a typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Seasonal field work may include exposure to the elements, including inclement weather and rough terrain, and requirements to lift items and equipment up to 50 lbs.
