Senior Geotechnical Engineer will work from the local office and is responsible for handling more complex geotechnical reports, from inception to completion and through the proposal phase all the way to the reporting phase. The position will require that the candidate be responsible for assisting in reviewing reports prepared by other staff members and offer mentorship to more junior level staff. The position will also consist of client interaction and communication at the beginning and throught the project phasing.

What you'll do:- Responsible for overall management of geotechnical engineering services and ownership of project tasks, including P & L responsibility
- Preparation of geotechnical proposals and reports and ensure that commitments to clients are met
- Execute geotechnical project assignments including, engineering analysis and customized geotechnical reports with detailed descriptions and statements
- Site Reconnaissance to assess site conditions and identify potential problems at the site through coordinated field visits
- Ability to identify problematic soils such as fill material, alluvium, organics and ability to call for additional investigation such as test pits and borings, as needed
- Understanding of rock, rock coring, and rock description
- Client relations and daily client interactions
- Responsible for the mentoring and training of staff technicians and engineers
- Actively participate in professional and technical organization

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:- BS in Civil, Geological, or Geotechnical Engineering required
- Minimum of 8 - 10 years of geotechnical engineering experience required
- Excellent understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering and related disciplines with the ability and desire to provide creative and practical solutions to meet the client's needs
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Columbus highly preferred or the ability to obtain one within 6 months of employment
- Experience working with gINT or similar software such as Open Ground
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential
- Must speak and write English fluently
- Valid Driver's License and reliable driving record required
