Job Description

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer with a strong background in foundation design, you will have the opportunity to work on engineering and geotechnical projects in a multi-discipline project team environment. You will be responsible for developing cost effective, practical geotechnical engineering designs and construction solutions for our clients.

Responsibilities
• Work on a variety of small to large projects spanning from transportation, building construction; commercial and industrial developments as well as infrastructure work
• Planning, conducting, and supervising geotechnical investigations
• Evaluating geologic conditions and geotechnical characteristics for assessment and design of shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures and earth structures
• Analyzing field data and preparing detailed engineering reports and recommendations
• Preparing proposals, budgeting and scheduling of technical field staff
• Mentoring and coaching junior staff members
• Communicating with clients and sub-consultants and internal stakeholders

Qualifications

Qualifications
• University degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in a geotechnical consulting environment
• Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng.) in Ontario
• Strong technical design skills
• Foundation design experience
• Communication and organizational skills to manage projects and act as a technical resource for the team
• Proven track record in developing and sustaining client relationships
• Understanding of multi-disciplinary design teams with experience of collaborating across projects
• Solid business acumen and strong client management experience
• A self-starter who is innovative and enjoys working in a team environment
