We are seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Texas and take a leadership role within our geotechnical division. This is a key position responsible for technical oversight, business development, and project delivery. Compensation: $120,000 to $140,000 depending on experience
Location: Houston, TXFLSA Exemption: Exempt
Schedule: Hours may vary
What you'll be doing:
• Lead geotechnical engineering efforts across a wide range of projects
• Develop and price proposals, including scopes, schedules, and budgets
• Direct field investigations and provide technical guidance to field staff
• Plan and conduct geotechnical exploration programs
• Perform geotechnical analyses, calculations, and prepare technical reports
• Maintain and grow client relationships across public and private sectors
• Identify training needs and mentor junior staff to achieve performance goals
• Participate in strategic planning and execute marketing efforts
• Coordinate with other internal departments (e.g., special inspections, lab testing)
• Perform occasional office administration tasks
What you have:
• Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field
• 10+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering within Texas
• Strong technical background in soil mechanics and engineering geology
• Working knowledge of geotechnical, materials testing, and special inspection services
• Proven ability to manage projects and lead high-performing technical teams
• Existing client base and revenue-generating relationships
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Valid Texas Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
