About the Opportunity
NV5 is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior GEOINT Scientist to support operational intelligence missions and applied research and development activities for the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) and the National Space Intelligence Center (NSIC). This role involves the acquisition, processing, modeling, analysis, cataloging, and dissemination of non-literal Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT) derived from both active and passive electro-optical sensors, including Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR), multispectral, hyperspectral, and thermal infrared data.
The successful candidate will contribute to the development of intelligence products, technical reports, presentations, algorithms, analytical tools, workflows, training materials, CAD models, and technical papers that support national security objectives.
Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced GEOINT tools to analyze and exploit remotely sensed data and produce intelligence products.
- Perform non-literal exploitation of both active sensor data (including Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)) and passive sensor data (including multispectral, hyperspectral, and thermal infrared imagery).
- Integrate exploitation results with contextual research and electro-optical (EO) literal analysis to provide meaningful intelligence assessments.
- Analyze unique, anomalous, and complex datasets using engineering principles and physics-based analytical approaches.
- Develop and improve processes, methodologies, and workflows to support advanced GEOINT exploitation.
- Perform quality assurance and quality control reviews of analytical products prior to dissemination.
- Support algorithm development and process automation through scripting and software-based analytical solutions.
- Produce and deliver intelligence reports, technical papers, briefings, presentations, and training materials.
- Complete all required security, network, and sensor discipline training.
