Position Summary:
Serve as a senior functional planner embedded within U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) supporting integration and synchronization of Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) and Cyber operations into campaign and contingency planning. The role focuses on capability integration, exercise planning, operational evaluation, and assessment of C4I and Cyber capabilities across multinational and joint mission sets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Integrate C4I and Cyber capabilities into USINDOPACOM operational and functional plans.
- Lead planning and coordination of multinational and interagency communications initiatives and exercises.
- Support the development of campaign plans, CONPLANs, and functional annexes focused on communications and cyberspace operations.
- Evaluate effectiveness of C4I and Cyber integration through exercise execution and after-action analysis.
- Provide functional planning guidance aligned with joint doctrine, Theater Campaign Plans (TCPs), and OPLANs.
- Advise senior leaders on the incorporation of Cyber effects and digital interoperability across partner nations.
- Coordinate assessments of communications systems readiness and interoperability within mission partner environments.
- Track and analyze geopolitical developments affecting C4I and cyber operations in the Indo-Pacific region.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years' experience in joint and multinational operational environments
- At least 5 years in joint and service planning roles
- Demonstrated experience as a lead exercise planner at Combatant Commands, Joint Staff, or Major Commands
- Proven leadership in guiding joint planning teams
- Experience in leading joint and multinational exercises
- Completion of advanced military education such as: School of Advanced Military Studies, Maritime Operational Planners Course, or School of Advanced Air and Space Studies (desired)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Master's Degree required
