Full Job Description
Arcadia is seeking a SME-level Full-Stack Applications Developer to support development and operations and maintenance of systems that automate processes, streamline operations, and support digital architecture initiatives. Target salary range: $250,000 - $270,000.

Description: Arcadia is seeking a Full-Stack Applications Developer to support the development and O&M of a variety of systems and initiatives focused on streamlining operations, automating processes, and aligning customer solutions to the overarching digital architecture. The ideal candidate will help promote state-of-the-art IT solutions, collaborating with IT mission partners to share technology and lessons learned to ensure records management processes and requirements are included in the early design stages of IT solutions.

TS/SCI with Polygraph required Day 1

Additionally, this individual will work in concert with the customer technical interfaces to ensure future plans for technology are in line with the overall customer architecture.

This position requires the candidate to:
• Develop software applications as web services that are written in Java unless otherwise directed by Sponsor. Examples include Node JS and Angular with Typescript, and Springboot with Hibernate and messaging; Java (Groovy on Grails); Scripting languages.
• Develop and maintain software applications as web services that interact with data stored in Postgres, MySQL, and other relational databases and/or Cloud technologies such as AWS.
• Develop, upgrade, and maintain APis and search with REST-like APis to communicate with other software applications and databases as required by Sponsor.
• Utilize XML, JSON, or other Sponsor standards for data transfer and metadata management.
• Has experience writing SQL queries.
• Improve search and website usability and accessibility by leveraging enterprise capabilities.

The candidate must have detailed experience with AWS and all of its resources (or least its main ones EC2, S3, and RDS), as well as very familiar with Cloud formation to create and maintain AWS resources. The candidate must also have experience with programming in an Object Oriented Programming language, preferably in Ruby, Python, or NodeJS. The candidate must have experience with using the AWS SDK in any of its supported languages: Ruby, Python, Java, NodeJS, etc.

This person must be willing to help in all cases as well as be familiar with architectural best practices. He/She will have experience with Jenkins and building Jenkins Pipelines using Groovy, not just Jenkins Jobs using Bash.

Requirements:
• Design, develop, and maintain software applications using Java and Python.
• Collaborate with business analysts, UX designers, and other developers to understand project requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Implement and maintain APIs for seamless integration between different systems.
• Optimize application performance, ensuring scalability and security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software defects, ensuring a high level of quality and reliability.
• Work with relational and MySQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
• Follow best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend enhancements to existing applications, process time, and supporting legal mandates.
• Experience with Microservices
• Experience with front end development using Angular
• Familiarity with Source code management and integration (ex - GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins)
• Experience in an Agile environment
