Senior Front End DeveloperAbout the roleAs a
Senior Front End Developer, you will make an impact by designing and delivering modern, scalable, and user-centric web applications that support critical business functions across the Banking and Financial Services industry. You will be a valued member of the Digital Engineering team and work collaboratively with product owners, UX designers, architects, backend developers, QA engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions that enhance user experience, operational efficiency, and business outcomes.
In this role, you will:- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade web applications using Angular, TypeScript, RxJS, and modern front-end development frameworks.
- Build responsive, accessible, and highly performant user interfaces while adhering to enterprise design standards and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements and UX designs into scalable technical solutions.
- Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs, microservices, authentication platforms, and real-time data streaming solutions.
- Drive code quality through unit testing, code reviews, CI/CD practices, and implementation of reusable, maintainable frontend architectures.

What you need to have to be considered- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in Front-End development delivering enterprise-scale web applications.
- Strong hands-on experience with Angular (15+ preferred), TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and RxJS.
- Experience building Single Page Applications (SPA) using modern Angular architecture, reusable components, reactive forms, and state management frameworks such as NgRx.
- Experience with Angular Material, AG Grid, PrimeNG, Tailwind CSS, or similar UI component frameworks.
- Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Knowledge of Java/Spring Boot-based backend integrations and API-driven application development.
- Experience implementing authentication and authorization solutions, including role-based access control (RBAC).
- Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress, Jest, Jasmine, Karma, or similar tools.
- Experience working with Git, JIRA, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of web accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) and responsive design principles.
- Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, or Investment Management environments.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
These will help you stand out- Experience with React and modern React development patterns.
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar technologies.
- Experience with Kafka, WebSockets, or real-time data streaming platforms.
- Experience with cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
- Experience developing highly secure applications within regulated financial environments.
- Exposure to audit, risk management, wealth management, trading, or investment management platforms.
- Experience mentoring junior developers and contributing to frontend architecture decisions.

The annual salary for this position is between
$88,000 - $140,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
