Job Description

The Senior FP&A Analyst compiles and analyzes financial information for an organization. Develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations. Creates and analyzes monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and ensures financial information has been recorded accurately. Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management. Performs financial forecasting and reconciliation of internal accounts. Familiar with a variety of field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. May lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

What You Will Do:
  • Preparation of the monthly financial statements.
  • Analysis and review of monthly financial results to ensure accuracy and correctness.
  • In depth research and explanation of variances from budgets on financial reports to users of financial information.
  • Prepare and distribute financial reports and variance explanations to managers responsible for the assigned areas.
  • Preparation of monthly rolling forecast of profitability.
  • Preparation and/or review of overtime reports.
  • Preparation of annual budget.
  • Support preparation of management discussion and analysis "MD&A" for monthly results, monthly forecast, and annual budget.
  • Analysis of the trial balance.
  • Monitor monthly and year end closing for accruals and provisions.
  • Support internal and external audit for fluctuation analysis etc Analysis of Corporate Property, Plant, & Equipment "PP&E".
  • Liaison directly with corporate departments for support and analysis.
  • Assist in any ad hoc reporting requirement or special projects when required.
  • Preparation of audit schedules assigned.
  • Supervision of a team of country finance staff and provide guidance to Country Accountant and FSC in areas related to financial accounting matters.
  • Coordinate year-end reporting requirements for audit. Assist with auditors' queries on allocation of G&A, statutory and management accounts.
  • All other applicable duties as assigned.

What You Will Need:

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required
  • Requires a minimum of eight (8) years previous accounting and financial experience, including 3 years of FP&A
  • CPA preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of current spreadsheet and word processing software tools and functionalities
  • Knowledge in general ledger system and subsystems, experience with Oracle, Hyperion and HFM adhoc highly preferred.
  • Good communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with others, and the ability to communicate directly with upper management.
  • The ability to be proactive in preventing errors and detecting areas at risk, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • The ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Needs to be familiar with the ABS Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Management System.

Reporting Relationships:

Reports directly to the Director of Finance
