Senior Food and Beverage Manager

Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines is seeking a dynamic Senior Food & Beverage Manager to join our leadership team at one of Southern California's premier coastal resorts. Set against stunning Pacific Ocean views, our 394-room property offers a blend of elevated dining and relaxed coastal charm, adjacent to Torrey Pines State Reserve and just one mile from the beach.
This role oversees all food and beverage outlets, including Torreyana Restaurant and Lounge, Horizons Café, Marketplace, In-Room Dining, and Pool Service, ensuring exceptional service, operational excellence, and memorable guest experiences.
We are looking for a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-outlet environment and is passionate about delivering outstanding hospitality while driving performance and team engagement.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:
  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years' experience in a supervisory position within food and beverage, preferably high-volume restaurant or hotel setting
  • Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Previous experience with forecasting, labor management, and inventory
  • Comfortability with learning new software and computer literacy
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Multi-unit management experience is a plus!


Responsibilities

Here's what you'll do during a typical day:
  • Lead daily operations: Manage outlet operations, including guest service standards, product quality, inventory, cost controls, profitability, marketing, budgeting, and enforcing policies and procedures
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences: Monitor service and product quality, assess guest satisfaction, address issues, and identify opportunities to continuously improve the dining experience
  • Inspire and develop the team: Supervise, coach, and mentor team members; conduct performance evaluations, provide professional development opportunities, and recognize achievements to build, retain, and engage a high-performing team
  • Drive revenue growth: Implement innovative marketing strategies, up-selling techniques, and promotional initiatives to maximize food and beverage sales and profitability
  • Recruit and onboard talent: Lead hiring efforts, conduct interviews, and train new team members to maintain high service standards and operational excellence
  • Uphold regulatory standards: Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol awareness regulations, ensuring the highest standards of guest and team member wellbeing
