Your Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for large projects of high complexity.
  • Conduct building and fire code reviews.
  • Participate in client meetings, value analysis, and basic cost estimating.
  • Provide direct supervision to assigned staff; develop staff skills and abilities by providing guidance and mentoring to strengthen technical abilities.
  • Conduct quality assurance and quality control on own projects and projects of peers.
  • Develop project scope, budget, and design approach for projects of various sizes and complexities.
  • Oversee and manage multiple concurrent projects.


Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Requisite knowledge, interpretation, and application of Building codes and NFPA standards.
  • Strong knowledge of fire suppression.
  • Checks the work of others for accuracy and completeness and manages time to meet project budget and schedule.
  • Participates and collaborates in project team setting with internal and external clients.
  • Strong technical writing, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Requires understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD.
  • Experience with CFD modeling software (i.e. FDS, ASCOS) is preferred but not required.
  • Experience performing site visits and creating field reports and "punch lists".

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Fire Protection Engineering or related engineering discipline. Masters in Fire Protection preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 10+ years of progressively responsible experience.
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) who has passed the fire protection engineering examination administered by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying required.
  • Experience on data center projects preferred.
