Full Job Description
POSITION: Senior Financial Systems Analyst

DEPARTMENT: Aquilini Group

REPORTS TO: Head of IT Infrastructure (functional accountability to Director, Finance)

BASE SALARY RANGE: $95,000 - $110,000/annum

SUMMARY:

The Senior Financial Systems Analyst owns the day-to-day administration, support, and continuous improvement of Aquilini Group's core finance systems. Working within the IT Team, supporting Finance, you'll keep critical platforms stable, well governed, and aligned to business needs, while driving reporting quality and process improvements across a multi-entity environment. Core platforms include Sage, DocLink, SSRS, Tairox (SOX), and PrintBoss.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Finance Systems Administration

  • Own administration, stability, and issue resolution for core finance applications
  • Manage user access, security roles, approval structures, and system configuration
  • Coordinate vendor relationships, lifecycle planning, and system upgrades
  • Ensure audit readiness, data integrity, and appropriate internal controls
  • Maintain change control, documentation, and support standards


Reporting and Data

  • Support financial and operational reporting for Finance and business leaders
  • Maintain reporting logic, data extracts, and SSRS report environments
  • Strengthen data quality and governance across source systems and reporting processes


Integrations and Technical Administration

  • Administer the databases, scheduled jobs, and integrations underpinning finance applications
  • Develop and maintain SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and data extracts
  • Monitor integration reliability and coordinate resolution of failures or data issues
  • Support upgrades, patches, and custom application components


EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years supporting financial systems, ERP platforms, or reporting environments
  • Hands-on experience with Sage, DocLink, SSRS, or comparable finance applications
  • Strong SQL and Microsoft SQL Server skills: query development, stored procedures, performance troubleshooting
  • Experience with Microsoft RDS and Windows Server application hosting
  • Solid understanding of internal controls, audit requirements, and change management
  • Familiarity with accounting processes and financial reporting in a multi-entity environment is a strong asset
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Work closely with Finance and operations to identify system needs and improvement opportunities
  • Translate business requirements into practical system solutions
  • Document processes, business rules, and support procedures clearly and sustainably
