Job Description:

This role reports to the Corporate Finance Manager and serves as a direct finance business partner to the direct reports of the Mars Leadership Team. The position plays a critical role in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), including financial reporting and budget development. A primary responsibility is generating insightful analysis and recommendations that, in turn, support the Mars Leadership Team's strategic objectives. This is a dynamic role that requires flexibility to adjust based on the evolving demands of corporate global functions. Success in this position requires strong business acumen, technical expertise, and an ability to navigate ambiguity. Exceptional communication and influencing skills are essential to drive financial shaping and key initiatives.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7+ years of experience working in a finance/planning environment with operational finance experience a must
  • Experience of working in a global function/organization (working across different time-zones/regions).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) and influencing skills to people.
  • Confidence and capability to lead tough discussion with a group of people
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels within the organization, especially with senior leaders in a confident and agile manner
  • Knowledge in SAP & MS Office (Strong Excel skills desired, i.e. pivot tables)


What will be your key responsibilities?
  • Drives key components of the Financial Planning Process of Mars Corporate including Corporate Shared Service costs, liaising with different functions and management. Ensuring financial plans are fully aligned to the strategic direction and aspirations of the business.
  • Be a trusted business parter to business leaders, through support advice and guidance to optimize financial outcomes
  • Provide in-depth financial analysis, monitor key performance indicators and generate insightful reports to explain variances and guide decision making. This includes providing insights into Overheads, Controllable Earnings and NCFO.
  • Present complex financial information clearly and concisely, to support the influencing of stakeholders and allow for data-drive decision making.
  • Provide robust financial modeling and evaluation for key business investments, strategic projects, and organizational design (OD) changes.
  • Develops and implements process improvements to ensure financial processes are effective and efficient for McLean unit.
  • Supports Finance Director on ad hoc projects


The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position will include variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.

The pay range shown is applicable to all US locations listed within the job posting:USD 134,400.00 - USD 184,800.00
