The Financial Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, developing forecasts and budgets, and providing insights that support strategic business decisions. This role works closely with leadership and operational teams to evaluate financial performance, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve profitability and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Analyze financial results, trends, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and presentations.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning.
- Develop and maintain financial models to support business decisions.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts and explain variances.
- Conduct profitability, cost, and revenue analyses.
- Support strategic initiatives through financial analysis and business case development.
- Gather and analyze data from multiple sources to identify opportunities and risks.
- Assist with month-end close activities and financial statement review.
- Partner with department leaders to develop budgets and monitor spending.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses and reports for management.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, capital investments, and other special projects as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and financial reporting requirements.
Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field required.
- MBA, CFA, CPA, or other professional certifications preferred.
- 2-5 years of financial analysis, accounting, budgeting, or related experience.
- Experience with financial modeling and forecasting.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and financial modeling.
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or Power BI.
- Knowledge of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting principles.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting practices.
Compensation: $100,000-115,000Salary is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
