Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytical support for the Motor Control Center business. This role partners with the Global Analytics and Insights organization, business leaders, and FP&A teams to deliver financial insights. You will analyze performance against plans and forecasts, identifying important financial drivers, and communicating results to team members.
Using enterprise financial systems including Oracle EPM and SAP, the Senior Financial Analyst develops analysis for key performance indicators such as orders, sales, backlog, margin and spend.
You will report to our Global Senior Regional Finance Manager.
Your Responsibilities:- Help develop financial plans and forecasts using standard tools and processes across sales, orders, margins and spend.
- Prepare and maintain orders, sales, spend and backlog reporting, including analysis of regional and business unit performance, variances to plan, forecast, and prior periods
- Help prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including variance analysis and causal explanations for important financial metrics.
- Provide financial support for the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) process in partnership with FP&A teams and business partners.
- Support quarterly forecasting activities and outlook processes by providing accurate financial analysis and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and standardization of reporting processes and support implementation efforts.
- Perform ad hoc financial analyses and respond to business inquiries to help explain financial results and identify main reasons for performance.
- Develop reports, dashboards, and data-driven insights that support decision-making and improve financial visibility for business partners.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity across financial reporting and forecasting processes.

The Essentials - You Will Have:- Bachelor's degree

- The ability to travel 10% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:- Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
- 5+ years of FP&A experience, as an asset in orders and sales area
- PowerBI knowledge
- Process improvement focus
- Can use financial systems and desktop apps to "drill down" to find answers
- Interpret financial results
- Experience working across time zones, businesses, and departments
