How You'll Make an Impact

The Senior Financial Analyst partners with the Finance Manager to support the credit union's financial management activities, including financial planning and analysis (FP&A), balance sheet management, liquidity analysis, treasury support, risk management, and strategic decision support. This role combines strong financial acumen with a continuous improvement mindset, leveraging modern analytics, automation, and business intelligence tools to enhance forecasting, operational efficiency, and organizational performance. The position serves as a key business partner across the organization, transforming financial data into actionable insights that support executive decision-making.

The successful candidate will bring experience from a bank or credit union environment and possess the curiosity and adaptability to help modernize finance processes, embrace emerging technologies, and deliver meaningful business insights that support strategic decision-making.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Facilitate the development and consolidation of forecasts and long-range financial plans. Analyze variances and provide clear, actionable recommendations to business leaders. Partner with department leaders to evaluate assumptions and improve financial predictability. Develop financial models, management reporting packages, dashboards, and forecasting tools that support executive decision-making and organizational growth.
  • Data & Technology Enablement / AI Utilization: Leverage financial systems, business intelligence tools, automation solutions, and emerging AI technologies to enhance forecasting, reporting, and decision-making. Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, workflow optimization, dashboard development, and enhanced data analytics capabilities. Support the adoption of modern finance technologies, including Power BI, SQL, Power Platform, AI-assisted analytics tools, and related solutions
  • Balance Sheet & Treasury Management: Support balance sheet management activities, including liquidity monitoring, cash flow analysis, investment portfolio reporting, and financial forecasting. Assist with interest rate risk analysis, scenario modeling, and asset/liability management initiatives. Provide recurring and ad hoc analysis to guide financial performance and capital allocation.
  • Risk Management: Support enterprise risk management activities through financial analysis, risk reporting, and periodic risk assessment processes. Partner with business leaders to identify and evaluate financial and operational risks and support mitigation planning.Investment, ROI & Profitability Analysis: Evaluate and support business investments through ROI modeling, cost-benefit analysis, and ongoing performance tracking, while delivering product-level profitability insights to inform pricing, growth, and strategic decision-making.
  • Reporting, Controls & Compliance: Perform general ledger analysis, reconciliation, and ensure integrity of financial data. Maintain and update financial policies, procedures, and internal controls. Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Partner with leaders across the organization to deliver financial insights and recommendations. Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders. Promote a collaborative, service-oriented work environment.
  • Continuous Improvement & Industry Awareness: Stay informed of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies. Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting capabilities, and financial performance.
  • Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Banking/Credit Union Regulations.
  • Performs additional duties as required.


What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience within a bank or credit union finance organization, including exposure to FP&A, treasury, ALM, liquidity management, profitability analysis, financial reporting, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience developing financial models, forecasts, budgets, management reporting, and business performance analysis.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, and financial modeling skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable business insights.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities independently adapt to changing business needs and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, accountability and attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; including financial modeling and data analysis; working knowledge of financial systems, data management tools, and reporting platforms.
  • Experience leveraging technology to improve financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, or process efficiency.
  • Experience with business intelligence, analytics, automation, or reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python, Power Platform, Copilot, or similar technologies.

Compensation & Rewards

Compensation for this role is $94,300 - $114,300 per year with the potential for discretionary incentive compensation based on both company and individual performance.
