Job Description Senior Financial Analyst SummaryThe Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Assistant Controller and is responsible for using professional judgement for ongoing assignments throughout the accounting operations including preparation of financial reports, gathering, analyzing, and interpreting financial data, making financial presentations, and working on other complex financial projects as needed to support the group accounting function.
Primary Responsibilities- Preparation and analysis of Daily/weekly P&L reporting requirements (includes Schedule 3).
- Assists in forecasting A/R Metrics for quarter end, and year end.
- Assists in financial planning and forecasting activities.
- Gathers financial information necessary to develop and prepare periodic financial performance reports. (Monthly and Quarterly reviews).
- Reviewing and analyzing the customer material bankbook.
- Preparation of monthly Journal Entries and Account Reconciliations.
- Helps prepare annual budgets and target setting.
- Identifies and investigates variances between budget and actual spend.
- Aids in formulating and administering corporate financial policies.
- Assists in preparing reports for financial presentations.
- Helps in the design of financial models and financial reports to evaluate financial strategies.
- Provides assistance to the IT department on various projects for identifying methods to streamline accounting or other systems for improved efficiency and cost reduction purposes.
- Supports and actively participates in SOX initiatives.
- Must be willing to work extra hours, when needed, to ensure deliverables and deadlines are timely met.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and experience Required: - Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study, and 2 years of experience in accounting.
- Experience with standard cost accounting.
Preferred: - Syteline experience preferred.

- Proficient computer skills in MS Excel, Word, BI reporting tools and other data management applications as well as experience working in ERP systems.

- Inquisitive, asks pertinent questions to arrive at a deeper understanding of a subject matter.
- Flexible with a willingness to travel as required to support business needs.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to talk or hear; frequently required to stand, walk, or sit. Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment such as printer, scanner, calculator, and copy machine. occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The typical work environment is a standard office setting / office contained in a manufacturing setting. The employee is occasionally required to perform work in a manufacturing setting, occasionally exposed to high noise levels.
