Full Job Description

Title:

Senior Financial Analyst

The successfully selected candidate for this Sr Financial Analyst position will be a full-time employee of the KBR team supporting our DOD Test Resource Management Center’s (TRMC) contract. 

Primary Duties, Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions for this position will include the following: 

  • Works closely with the program manager to ensure the program and the program’s projects funding is properly maintained.
  • Supports the budget formulation for Program Objective Memorandum (POM) inputs.
  • IAW guidance from the Program Manager, develop spend plans in support of POM initiatives.
  • Serve as the liaison between the Program Manager and government CFO team.
  • Tracks MIPR level execution by project, integrates Service/Agency MIPR reporting data (distribution, obligation, accrual, disbursement, PM expenditure) data with FM tracking and DFAS reporting data.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.
  • Must be willing to travel to Northern Virginia and other areas as required.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and eight (8) years' work-related experience in a relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, managing and monitoring budgets.
  • Proven ability to create, track and adjust budgets and spend plans, ensuring alignment with budget authority, funds availability and project timelines.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex financial data, identify trends or discrepancies, and develop practical solutions to improve financial reporting.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze variance analyses and make data driven recommendations to leadership.
  • Experience working within the NCR region with DoD and/or Service organizations and individuals.
  • Requires expertise with specialized experience in the DoD financial processes.
  • Must have a demonstrated ability to work effectively across a multi-Service environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present financial information clearly to both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite to include advanced Excel skills.
  • Must be within100 miles of Northern Virginia and must be willing to travel to Northern Virginia and other areas as required.
