Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst is a strategic, high-visibility role that partners directly with senior leadership to shape financial strategy, influence key business decisions, and drive sustainable performance across the organization. In coordination with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, this individual will drive core planning and forecasting processes while translating complex financial and operational data into clear, actionable insights used at the executive level. The role offers opportunities to expand in scope through special projects, process ownership and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Prepare and deliver financial analyses and recommendations to senior leadership, including the CFO and executive management team.
  • Prepare and present business line profitability analysis, driving actionable reommendations that guide strategic operational decisions.
  • Lead the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of enterprise-level budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Serve as the thought-partner to business leaders on strategic initiatives, growth opportunities, and cost optimization efforts.
  • Create executive dashboards, management reports and analysis packages.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate, timely close processes and alignment between financial reporting and forecasting.
  • Assist with the creating and reporting of competitive peer analysis.
  • Perform numerous business ad-hoc analysis.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
  • Adhere to all corporate policies and procedures, Federal and State regulations, and laws.
  • Complete all mandatory annual compliance training.
  • Follow regulatory requirements including those pertaining to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Customer Identification Program (CIP), and OFAC to assist in the identification, detection, and determent of money laundering and other unlawful activities, as well as regulations pertaining to lending and consumer compliance to include fair lending laws.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or mathematics.

Required:
  • 3+ years of finance experience with an emphasis in FP&A, corporate finance, or a strategic finance preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to model complex business questions/issues.
  • Ability to think analytically and creatively.
  • Ability to multi-task, effectively project manage, adapt, and prioritize within a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills.
  • A team player with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Experience influencing decisions through data-driven storytelling.
  • Excellent judgment and analytical skills, with an autonomous nature and natural follow-up and follow-through.
  • Ability to challenge assumptions and provide independent financial judgment.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet monthly deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products.

Preferred:
  • Experience in the banking or finance industry.
  • Advanced financial modeling and scenario analysis.
  • Experience with automation, forecasting accuracy improvements and process optimization.
  • Experience with Workday Adaptive or other planning software.
  • Experience with S&P Global an Power BI.
