The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for developing the organizational budget, forecasts and long-range plans, preparing Medicare cost reports, independently developing supporting analysis and documentation, and facilitating and managing governmental audits. This position works closely with the leadership team by using financial key performance indicators to promote awareness of ongoing financial results and works with the Chief Financial Officer on the overall financial health of the organization. In addition, this position will collaborate with clinical leadership, quality and IT to validate data, support quality initiatives, guide technology optimization and develop proformas for new programs and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the month end revenue/AR reconciliation between the Epic billing system and general ledger and validation of data.
- Acts as a financial resource and business advisor for leadership. Enhances financial acumen and knowledge organization-wide by providing education and training.
- Report monthly statistics and key performance indicators and support the day-to-day metric needs of program leaders
- Facilitate preparation for various annual reporting including cost reports, utilization reports, audits, IRS filings.
- Review general ledger review, analytics and reconciliation for balance sheet and income statement accounts.
- Collaborate with Chief Financial Officer and Director of Revenue Cycle to prepare month end reporting within specified deadlines.
- Oversee AP to ensure appropriate expense coding and timeliness of processing.
- Labor and productivity analysis
- Responsible for various other administrative work, including licensure, insurance, etc.
- Serves as liaison with various DH financial and administrative service areas

Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field
- Healthcare finance experience
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and ability to learn and adapt to various reporting tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate and present complex financial data in a way that is understandable to customers. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- MBA strongly preferred
- Home Health and Hospice accounting experience
- Experience with StrataJazz, Peoplesoft and Epic
