Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Information and Controls

Department: Corporate Finance

Location: Laval, QC (4204 boulevard Industriel, H7L 0E3) on site

Type of employment: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours)

THE ROLE

As part of Alimentation Couche-Tard's head office team, the Financial Information and Controls group plays a key role in the company.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Preparation of periodic, quarterly and annual financial information for internal purposes for sharing with senior management and for external purposes to meet the regulatory requirements of a public company:
    • Review of documents provided by business units;
    • Consolidation of financial information;
    • Participate in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements, management's discussion and analysis, and quarterly and annual press releases;
    • Participation in the preparation of results analyses and presentations for management and various committees.
  • Other responsibilities :
    • Support to business units and management;
    • Active participation in various special projects:
      • Process improvement;
      • Participation in the integration of acquired companies;
      • Ad hoc requests in support of management.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in administration, accounting option OR equivalent experience;
  • CPA designation.


Experience:
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.


Knowledge and skills:
  • Excellent command of the Office suite;
  • Very good knowledge of IFRS accounting standards;
  • Quality work ethic, autonomy and initiative;
  • Ability to manage priorities while respecting deadlines;
  • Ability to work as part of a team and to communicate effectively;
  • Experience with Longview, an asset;


Language skills:
  • Bilingualism required (Advanced French and English) both spoken and written, as the person will be required to work and communicate regularly in English while performing the tasks outlined above. Specifically, the role requires collaboration with global teams.
