Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst – Revenue Analytics

Location: Herndon, VA

Position Overview:

This position’s responsibilities encompass a full range of forecasting, budget management, and investment analysis activities. This role is a challenging position with high-level visibility. The Senior Financial Analyst position sits at the intersection of the business’ operations and the company’s financial results and, consequently, can influence the business beyond Finance. A successful candidate will embrace opportunities to take on new challenges and be comfortable leading/motivating their peers. This position will play a key role and will work with senior leaders across the business to help maximize financial success. The FP&A team is responsible for delivering forward-looking guidance to executives, ownership, and external shareholders, as well as reporting financial results and managing business leaders to optimal performance.

Description:

This role will have a focus on the support of top-line growth forecasting. This includes tracking

  • Pipeline (Sales Opportunities, probability of bookings closure)

  • Bookings (value of total committed customer orders),

  • Billings (value of invoiced cash receivables), and

  • Revenue (time phased delivery of value).

This would include maintaining analytical models that track orders through the sales cycle to project the timing of bookings and then order fulfillment cycle to project timing of billings and revenues. This includes, but is not limited to variance analysis, pipeline and revenue analysis and financial modeling. With close support from the Director, this position will work with Sales, Sales Operations, Product Management, and Procurement to understand customer demand of specific product models, the supply strategy to fulfill customer orders, and the resulting revenues. Responsibilities will also include modeling, data analysis, business cases, and investment analysis among other items on an as needed basis. A successful candidate will have top tier excel modeling ability, strong independent reasoning/problem solving skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

This role offers unique development opportunities as it will have hands-on experience in supporting a critical government business unit. A successful candidate will embrace opportunities to take on new challenges and expand their understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis as a whole. Responsibilities may include other duties as necessary.

Education and Experience:

• This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, required.

• MBA, CMA, and CPA preferred, but not required.

• Previous experience in public accounting or FP&A.

• Experience in ERPs and CRMs, preferred but not required.

• Requires excellent analytical skills, top tier Excel modeling, Powerpoint.

• Strong leadership, ability to collaborate with peers, and a strong sense of initiative

• Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to work independently.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is:

$124,800.00-164,200.00 USD

The actual salary offered may vary within the range based on a candidates' unique experience, locale, and business needs.
