Full Job Description
The Senior Financial Analyst supports Amazon's global accounting operations through financial reporting, technical accounting research, and cross-functional collaboration.

This role will be responsible for corporate accounting close processes, driving operational improvements, and supporting system implementation projects related to corporate accounting functions and foreign exchange accounting. This role offers cross-functional partnership opportunities with Legal, Tax, and Technology teams, as well as accounting business teams across AWS, Digital, Stores, Payments, Advertising, and International Operations.

The ideal candidate has a working knowledge of internal controls and can support control assessments, validate system outputs, and assist with testing activities during implementations. This role requires the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while collaborating effectively across teams.

• Perform Corporate accounting close processes
• Support system implementation projects, including defining accounting requirements and validating outputs
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities
• Conduct financial reporting research and prepare technical position papers
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including finance, legal, tax, and statutory accounting teams
• Perform risk assessments and evaluate control considerations within a complex, high-growth environment

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- CPA

- Knowledge of internal control framework (specifically COSO) to assess control design and operational efficiency

- Experience in accounting management in Big Four with Fortune 500 clients

- Experience participating in system implementation projects, including requirements definition, UAT, and post-go-live support

- Experience supporting system implementation lifecycles

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
