Are you a strategic, analytical, and collaborative finance professional with expertise in capital project planning and financial modeling? Squamish Nation is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst, Capital Projects to join the Estx wayusem Finance team.

This role plays a critical part in supporting the financial planning, analysis, and oversight of a diverse portfolio of capital initiatives, including housing, infrastructure, and economic development projects. You will contribute to long-term financial strategies that support the growth and sustainability of the Squamish Nation and its related entities.

What You'll Do
  • Lead financial analysis and provide support for a portfolio of capital projects across housing, infrastructure, economic development, and community amenities.
  • Develop and maintain detailed financial models to support project evaluation, funding decisions, and long-term planning.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of capital budgets, forecasts, and variance reporting for projects exceeding $100M annually.
  • Support the development of multi-year and long-term financial plans aligned with organizational priorities.
  • Collaborate with project managers, development teams, and non-financial stakeholders to provide financial insight and guidance.
  • Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for decision-makers.
  • Contribute to integrated financial strategies across the Squamish Nation and related entities.
  • Support reporting requirements, including internal reporting and presentations to leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, tools, and reporting related to capital planning.
  • Contribute to departmental and organizational goals through collaboration and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, ideally focused on capital projects, infrastructure, or development.
  • Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and advanced financial modeling.
  • Experience working with large and complex budgets (exposure to $100M+ portfolios considered an asset).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power BI is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial audiences.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Experience working within a First Nations community environment is an asset.

Salary: $80,026 - $120,040

Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. We are committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
