Full Job Description
About the Role

As a Senior Financial Analyst based in Humanoid's Boston office, you will be a trusted finance partner to the business. This hands-on, individual contributor role is ideal for someone with expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and a solid working knowledge of accounting. You will support Humanoid's budgeting, spend approvals, cash-flow monitoring, and scenario modeling across a multi-entity, multi-currency environment.

In this role you'll stay current on the rules and regulations that affect our business while proactively identifying opportunities-such as R&D tax credits, grants, and incentives-that can strengthen Humanoid and inform decision-making. In this fast-moving startup, you will apply strong analytical skills and sound business judgement to turn financial detail into clear, actionable guidance for leaders.

If you want your analysis to directly shape the growth of one of the world's leading humanoid robotics companies, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

Planning, Budgeting & Approvals
  • Budgeting & forecasting: Partner with teams across Humanoid to build, maintain, and update the annual budget and rolling forecasts, and track performance against plan.
  • Spend approvals: Review and support the approval of purchases, expenses, and commitments, ensuring they align with budget, policy, and financial controls.
  • Business partnering: Act as the go-to finance resource for leaders across the business, providing analysis and recommendations that guide day-to-day and strategic decisions.

Cash Flow & Financial Analysis
  • Cash-flow monitoring: Monitor and forecast cash flow, working capital, and liquidity across entities, flagging risks and opportunities early.
  • Scenario modeling: Build and maintain financial models and "what-if" scenarios to support planning, investment, and operational decisions - including hardware unit economics and scaling assumptions.
  • Reporting & insight: Prepare and present financial results, variance analysis, and KPIs, translating the numbers into clear, actionable insight for leadership and the Board.

Compliance, Research & Business Support
  • Accounting awareness: Apply a working familiarity with accounting rules (IFRS / GAAP) to ensure analysis, accruals, and reporting are sound and consistent with the books.
  • Regulatory awareness: Stay current on rules, regulations, and reporting requirements across Humanoid's jurisdictions, and factor them into planning.
  • Incentives research: Proactively research R&D tax credits, grants, and incentives relevant to robotics and advanced manufacturing, and quantify their impact for decision-makers - partnering with the tax and treasury teams.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or a comparable finance role.
  • Working familiarity with accounting rules (IFRS / GAAP) and how they affect financial reporting and analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Ability to implement or quickly learn new FP&A tools
  • Usage of AI tools to create efficiencies
  • Advanced Excel and financial-modeling skills; experience with an ERP / accounting system (e.g. SAP).
  • Strong research skills and intellectual curiosity, with the initiative to investigate credits, grants, and regulatory topics independently.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and business-partnering skills, with high attention to detail.

Nice to have:
  • CFA, ACA/ACCA/CIMA, CPA, CMA, or MBA (or active progress toward one).
  • Experience in a high-growth, venture-backed startup or scale-up, ideally in hardware, robotics, deep tech, or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with R&D tax credits, grants, or incentive programs relevant to the business.
  • Experience supporting a multi-entity or multi-currency group as an embedded finance partner.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools.
What We Offer
  • Comprehensive health coverage for US-based employees, including fully paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, with virtual care and employee assistance resources.
  • Meaningful time off to rest and recharge: 23 days of PTO (accrued), separate sick leave, and paid company holidays.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer match.
  • Competitive equity: stock options with meaningful upside as we scale.
  • Free daily catered lunch, snacks, and drinks in-office.
  • Collaboration with top-tier engineers, researchers, and product experts in AI and robotics.
