This role involves collaborating with business partners and operators, performing cost and variance analysis, and presenting financial information effectively.
Responsibilities- Follow processes and understand reclasses.
- Conduct cost analysis and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with operators and business partners to communicate variances and work on analysis.
- Present financial information effectively using PowerPoint, text visualization, or Excel.
- Take initiative to explore issues and challenge the status quo.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement.
Essential Skills- 1-5 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least one solid year in finance.
- Industry experience in retail or a similar field.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to take initiative.
- Familiarity with P&L or financial statements.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including SUMIFS, XLOOKUPs, INDEX MATCH, and pivot tables.
- Experience in financial modeling, business analysis, and supporting month-end close.
Additional Skills & Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a similar field.
- CPA designation.
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Retail experience.
