Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 14 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), business strategy, management consulting, a related function, or 12 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 5 years of experience as a people manager.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (ie. MBA) or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment, comfortable dealing with ambiguity and guiding others through it.
  • Excellent problem solving, communication and people management skills, with the ability to persuade through disciplined use of data and comfortable distilling complex topics into concise narratives for executive consumption.
  • Exceptional dexterity with presentation and spreadsheet tools.

You are both a manager and a mentor, providing financial leadership and analytical support to partners of the core Finance team as well as giving your own team the support they need to become financial experts. Responsibilities
  • Serve as the finance lead for global music partnerships efforts (e.g. licensing), owning the full suite of agreement analysis deliverables and analytical agenda development across the team.
  • Partner closely with product and business senior leadership to develop and iterate financial targets, margin levers and resource investment/trade-off frameworks.
  • Own a key analytical agenda and be a thought leader in helping to shape agreement structures and provide strategic financial guidance on major initiatives.
  • Ensure accuracy and financial controls throughout the process (e.g., minimal forecast variance, structured performance reporting, and close alignment with Partnerships, Product Management, and Accounting to maintain data integrity).
  • Manage a team of analysts. Provide thoughtful leadership and career development, as well as be available as a mentor to others across the broader YouTube Finance team.
