Full Job Description
Overview

The Senior Finance Manager will work with Asta and Corporate to ensure GAAP Accounting records, proper reconciliations, SOX compliance, and best practices.  In addition, this person will be responsible for developing Budgets and Forecasts for the Business Unit, while helping the local team in finance operational excellence (i.e. Cash flow management).  This position will serve as a strategic business partner to the corporate leadership team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide variety of general accounting functions including, but not limited to preparation, review, and approval of journal entries, month-end closing processes, year-end schedules and reports.
  • Participate in activities the ensure accuracy of financial data including but not limited to inventory counts
  • Work with BU President to perform a detail review of balance sheet to translate into business execution excellence
  • Build reports between budget and actual results.
  • Ensure overall financial data is kept in accordance with US GAAP Principles.
  • Be the point contact for the components of the global audit that relates to this legal entity.
  • Establish and maintain systems and controls that verify the integrity of all systems, processes, and data in compliance with Public Company standards.
  • Enhance the overall environment with regard to accounting policy and controls
  • Ensure all accounts are reconciled on a monthly cadence in accordance with global accounting policy.
  • Respond to Global Accounting and Finance Personnel with accurate and timely work to facilitate financial needs.
  • Participate in a wide variety of special projects and compile a variety of special reports.
  • Prepare various supplemental schedules used within the Global consolidations for the 10Q and 10K SEC documents.
  • Ad-hoc requests of financial data for key operational and financial team members within the company.
  • Be a key member of the ERP conversation team when the Company converts to a Global consistent ERP.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

  • CPA Preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent with a minimum of 5+ years or relevant work experience.
  • Background of public accounting in a private industry mix in manufacturing is preferred.
  • Project Management skills and leadership abilities required.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal, presentation and team skills.
