Full Job Description
We are seeking a Finance Manager to join our team. Position is remote but candidate must have ability to travel.
As Finance Manager you will lead and manage multiple indirect budgets. You'll act as a business partner to achieve the business area's financial goals. Reporting to a Finance Director, the manager provides leadership and strategic guidance to the business area. You will ensure contractual compliance, cost management, budget development and analysis for US government contracts. You must have a strong working knowledge of Government Contracting and experience with Government financial project support. You will oversee performance, training, recruiting and assessment of financial staff. Mentoring staff and ensuring internal and external deadlines are met successfully is a key aspect of the role. You will oversee the timely and accurate submittal of financials to include but not limited to Revenue, EBITDA, Cash, Backlog and DSO.
Position essential duties includes:
• Act as a Business Partner to the leaders of the Business Division providing financial analysis and guidance.
• Prepare monthly reports of key financial elements and be able to present financial data to Business Line management.
• Utilize accounting system and a variety of financial tools to build reporting for analysts, operations and management.
• Manage portfolio of programs and understand a variety of contract types and customers.
• Manage indirect budgets.
• Understand and provide guidance on all financial/program control responsibilities in the areas of budgeting/reporting, sales, overhead, proposal pricing and long-range planning.
• Review and provide recommendations on Monthly/Quarterly/ Annual financial performance, review revenue recognition and ensure financial accuracy.
• Manage Accounts Receivable and Cash Collections for Business Division.
• Understand contracts and RFPs and support proposals and contract negotiations as needed.
• Ensure responsiveness to Program, Customer, and Corporate Needs.
• Utilize creative and innovative resource planning solutions to ensure that corporate, customer and program deliverables are being met in a timely and accurate manner.
• Ensure clear, prepared and effective communications to Program/Corporate Leadership.
• Involve Amentum Leadership and management in Key Business Operations issues.
• Communicate those issues clearly and decisively, and with prepared solutions.
• Identify areas of improvement in financial accounting applications and operational procedures and effectively communicate these value-added solutions both orally and in writing to senior department personnel.
• Respond to Internal and External Inquiries for Financial Data.
• Act as the main interface with external and internal auditors related to the Financial Statements

REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance (or related disciplines) from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of US GAAP reporting.
• 7+ years of progressive management experience in a related area.
• 12+ years in multiple areas, including Finance, Accounting or Business Operations.
• May require travel
• Strong English communication, both oral and written.
• Strong Government Contracting finance experience
• Strong knowledge of budgets, estimates at complete and projections.
• Ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, establish facts and propose solutions.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions independently.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities, schedules and budgets.
• Cross-cultural sensitivity and international perspective.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Costpoint and Cognos experience preferred.
• Hyperion and SmartView experience preferred.

Compensation Details:
$150,000.00
