Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or Science (electrical or mechanical) or equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with vacuum systems (turbo molecular pumps, ion pumps, roughing pumps).
• Familiarity with high and ultra-high vacuum regions required.
• Experience as a Field Service Engineer with 300mm capital equipment is essential.
• Experience with scanning electron microscopes (SEMs) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Become proficient in using PDF’s eProbe® inspection tool.
• Perform equipment startup with minimal support from HQ.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and repair equipment issues effectively.
• Manage local parts inventory and order replacements as needed.
• Respond promptly to tool issues and collaborate with HQ engineers during escalations.
• Verify tool operational quality post-maintenance activities.
• Install and relocate equipment, ensuring successful start-ups.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems to identify root causes.
• Keep accurate logs of service records, parts usage, and management reports.
• Escalate unresolved issues for quick resolution.
• Take emergency calls within the fabrication environment if necessary.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction with effective communication and shared knowledge.
• Adhere to Intellectual Property and safety protocols.
