Full Job Description
Position Summary:

The Senior Field Safety Coordinator is the on-site safety leader for InServ projects, responsible for managing safety operations and ensuring compliance with all regulatory, client, and company safety standards. Leading a team of one or more safety personnel, this role plays a key part in building a strong, proactive safety culture while acting as the primary safety liaison between InServ, the client, and craft employees. The ideal candidate is a seasoned safety professional who leads by example, coaches others, and fosters open communication and collaboration on job sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Representation
  • Lead and mentor a team of Safety Coordinators assigned to the project.
  • Represent InServ in all client safety meetings, jobsite coordination sessions, and walkdowns.
  • Be the voice and advocate for both the safety team and craft employees on-site.
  • Foster a culture of safety through leadership, education, and active engagement.

Safety Management
  • Conduct and lead incident investigations with detailed root cause analysis and corrective action tracking.
  • Lead daily jobsite safety operations for the client and InServ, including:
    • Daily HSI safety reports
    • Three HSI safety observations per week
    • One HSI safety audit per week
  • Conduct and document regular safety walks, hazard assessments, and risk mitigation efforts.
  • Coach employees, Project Mangers

Compliance & Documentation
  • Develop and update project-specific safety documentation, including:
    • Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs)
    • Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
    • Project-specific procedures
  • Verify and maintain training records for all on-site personnel.
  • Ensure adherence to OSHA, ANSI, and NFPA safety standards and client-specific requirements.

Coaching & Communication
  • Coach and develop the safety team and field personnel by leading through example and education.
  • Encourage continuous improvement and "walking the walk" in all aspects of field safety.
  • Communicate effectively with the Regional Safety Manager or Safety Director on daily operations, safety concerns, and team performance.
  • Promote open dialogue, trust, and respect among all team members and trades.

Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 10 years of safety experience in construction or industrial settings
    • Experience leading teams and managing safety on complex, multi-trade job sites
  • Certifications:
    • OSHA 510/500 Required
    • Professional credentials such as CHST, CSP,MSP or equivalent strongly preferred
  • Skills:
    • Deep knowledge of OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, and site-specific safety requirements
    • Ability to write and implement JHAs, procedures, and safety plans
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Proficient in HSI or equivalent safety reporting software
    • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite
