Primary Purpose

Oversees commissioning for large-scale systems by reviewing procedures, validating test results, and implementing corrective actions, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project specifications.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews and approves commissioning documentation, including as-built drawings, test reports, and manuals, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develops and implements corrective actions for project commissioning issues and leads root cause analyses for equipment failures and incidents.
  • Leads and participates in continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on startup, commissioning, and testing processes.
  • Assesses constructability and field conditions, ensures proper resource allocation, and resolves on-site issues to maintain project momentum.
  • Ensures safe, efficient, and policy-compliant project execution, aligning with departmental procedures and safety standards.
  • Validates commissioning data from internal teams and contractors, confirming accuracy, safety, and adherence to industry standards.
  • Identifies risks and implements mitigation strategies, while maintaining quality assurance systems and supporting technical documentation efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience
  • Requires 8 years of related experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with low voltage wiring, instrumentation, and control systems is a plus. An applicant that works well in a collaborative environment and is comfortable making hands-on modifications to low voltage control systems is strongly preferred.

  • Required: Technical Reporting - A form of subjective and formal report that presents the objectives, processes, and results of technical work.
  • Required: Instrumentation and Control Design - Designing systems for measuring and controlling various parameters in industrial processes or equipment.
  • Preferred: Working knowledge of the NEC/NFPA 70 (including wiring practices and understanding of hazardous classifications and protection methods.).
  • Preferred: Ability to read and interpret design/construction drawings and technical material (specifically electrical single line, panel schematics, and P&IDs).

Licenses and Certifications
