Overview

We are hiring! AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Senior Facility Assessor to join our team in our Boston, MA office. Serves as the senior facility assessor within a project team to produce comprehensive high quality condition assessments and due diligence engineering evaluations. Trains and mentors’ junior staff and where necessary is the client interface in the field. 

Your role

  • Evaluate architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems to determine condition, remaining useful life end required expenditures and remedial measures. 

  • Complete comprehensive and high-quality condition assessment and due diligence engineering evaluations of varying building types throughout the U.S. 

  • Handle multiple assessment projects in condensed timeframe. 

  • Project manage the deliverable of small to medium sized assessment projects. 

  • Provide client relationship management. 

  • Identify and develop facility options to satisfy project objectives of client. 

  • New business development. 

  • Train and mentor junior staff.

  • May perform such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.

  • Work involves complex or novel assignments requiring diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments. Work requires the use of advanced techniques and the modification and extension of theories, precepts and practices. 

  • Consistently exercises independent judgment. Supervision and guidance relate largely to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters. Consults with supervisor concerning unusual problems and developments. 

  • Supervises, gives work direction to, and/or reviews the work of junior technical staff and/or others who assist in specific assignments.

  • Interfaces with senior technical staff, technical managers, and administrative staff and managers as necessary. 

  • Represents the organization in conferences with clients. 

About you

  • Bachelors’ degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Architecture, Construction, or an associated Engineering field and have a minimum of seven years 
    assessment experience on a variety of facilities.

  • Must be familiar with all types of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems and equipment. 

  • Good reporting skills are required and ability to meet frequent tight deadlines.

  • Must have professional attitude and a strong commercial awareness, be able to deal directly and communicate effectively with clients and other staff both verbally and in writing.

  • Must be self-motivated and have the ability to successfully manage client’s expectations, schedule and cost with minimum supervision.

  • Mechanical, electrical, or architectural certifications are preferred.

Additional information

Expected compensation range is between $95,000-$102,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
