Senior Event Sales Manager

The Senior Event Sales Manager is responsible for driving event revenue through proactive sales, strategic account management, and consultative client engagement. This role manages high-value accounts and opportunities across the corporate, social, wedding, and special event market, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process. The Senior Event Sales Manager partners closely with Event Services, Operations, and Revenue Management teams to create customized solutions that maximize revenue, enhance the guest experience, and drive long-term client loyalty.

This position carries one of the highest revenue goals within the sales organization and is expected to lead by example in prospecting, relationship building, negotiation, and closing business. The Senior Event Sales Manager also provides mentorship and guidance to sales team members and supports the development of best practices that improve team performance and overall business results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a portfolio of high-value accounts, generating new business while expanding existing client relationships.
  • Proactively identify, solicit, and close event and group business opportunities aligned with hotel revenue goals.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during the sales cycle, providing strategic recommendations and customized event solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activity, and customer needs to identify new revenue opportunities.
  • Foster strong internal partnerships across Sales, Events, Revenue Management, Catering, and Operations.
  • Mentor and support less experienced sales professionals, contributing to a culture of collaboration, accountability, and performance excellence.
  • Consistently achieve or exceed individual revenue, production, and account growth goals.
  • Serve as a leader and subject matter expert on event sales initiatives, strategic programming, and cross-functional projects designed to enhance client engagement, increase revenue, improve operational effectiveness, and support the resort's overall business objectives.
