Job DescriptionDavis H. Elliot is seeking a detail-oriented
Senior Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of electrical and telecommunications construction projects. Working closely with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and clients, you will play a critical role in securing successful projects and supporting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Lead estimating efforts for large, complex, and high-profile projects
- Develop comprehensive labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor cost estimates
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project requirements
- Evaluate project risks and develop pricing strategies
- Prepare and present bid reviews to management
- Lead, coach, and support estimators and estimating co-ops
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners
- Participate in project handoff and pre-construction planning activities
- Assist with estimating process improvements, standards, and database development
- Track market trends and analyze historical cost data to improve estimate accuracy
Qualifications- 7+ years of construction estimating experience
- Extensive knowledge of electrical construction systems, methods, and industry standards
- Demonstrated success estimating large commercial, industrial, utility, or infrastructure projects
- Proficiency in Accubid and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to mentor others and lead estimating teams
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
