Full Job Description
Dow has an exciting job opportunity as a Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)Delivery Technician located in Bristol-Croydon, PA.

Shares responsibility for the implementation of the EH&S management system, in order to meet business objectives and to maintain the license to operate. Provides hands-on environmental, industrial hygiene (IH), and health and safety (H&S) activities for the site. Requires full proficiency in a range of technical, operational, or analytical/scientific processes and procedures through job-related training and considerable on the job experience to perform a variety of work assignments. Acts as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

Responsibilities / Duties
  • Implements detailed, task level, day to day EH&S programs, utilizing the EH&S work process, standards and procedures.
  • Ensures that the Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety aspects of operating discipline are adequate and applied to achieve EH&S performance goals. In most cases, would perform the role of section owner for the EH&S sections of operating discipline.
  • Acts as the site resource for related EH&S information on procedures, guidelines and standards.
  • Serves as site contact for Environmental, IH, and Health and Safety issues.
  • Coaches teams and individuals on EH&S related tasks and activities.
  • Assists in developing and achieving area or site EH&S goals.
  • Ensures compliance tasks are completed.
  • Performs/coordinates certain Environmental, and IH monitoring, data collection, analyzing and reporting for the site.


Required Qualifications:
  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in an industrial environmental health and safety (EH&S) role
  • Must be 18 years old or older.
  • Willing to work weekends, and holidays, if required.
  • Willing to work overtime (extra hours beyond your regular scheduled) if required.
  • A valid US driver's license
  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • An Associate degree or higher in an EH&S related field is preferred.
  • PA asbestos certification is preferred
  • Trained in RCI (Root Cause Investigation) methodologies is also preferred.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP)

  • Regulatory Compliance: Regulatory compliance describes the goal that organizations aspire to achieve in their efforts to ensure that they are aware of and take steps to comply with relevant laws, policies, and regulations. Due to the increasing number of regulations and need for operational transparency, organizations are increasingly adopting the use of consolidated and harmonized sets of compliance controls.
  • Manufacturing Operations: Manufacturing operations concern the operation of a facility, as opposed to maintenance, supply and distribution, health, and safety, emergency response, human resources, security, information technology and other infrastructural support organizations.
  • Audit planning: Audit planning is a vital area of the audit primarily conducted at the beginning of audit process to ensure that appropriate attention is devoted to important areas, potential problems are promptly identified, work is completed expeditiously and work is properly coordinated. Audit planning means developing a general strategy and a detailed approach for the expected nature, timing and extent of the audit.
