Are you ready to lead transformative design efforts that improve communities and protect vital resources? We're seeking a Senior Engineer / Design Manager to join our growing Water team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you'll guide multidisciplinary design teams to deliver innovative, constructible, and sustainable solutions across a diverse portfolio of water infrastructure projects.

You'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, manage design schedules and deliverables, and ensure technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle. If you're passionate about design leadership and want to work with the best, for the best, we want to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Design Coordination: Lead and integrate inputs from civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and process engineering disciplines to deliver cohesive and constructible designs.


  • Project Management: Develop and manage design schedules, budgets, and deliverables in alignment with overall project timelines and client expectations.


  • Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate communication between clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams to resolve design issues and align expectations.


  • Quality Assurance: Review design documents for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.


  • Risk Management: Identify design-related risks and implement mitigation strategies early in the project lifecycle.


  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized records of design decisions, revisions, and approvals; prepare regular progress reports for leadership and clients.


  • Technical Leadership: Mentor and guide design team members, fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field.


  • Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in water infrastructure design and project delivery.


  • Professional Engineer (PE) license required.


  • Experience with municipal, industrial, or federal water projects preferred.
