Job Description
This position is in our Mechanicsburg Pennsylvania office. The role of Senior Engineer is to assist in managing construction inspection/management, design and delivery of large projects and maintaining and improving relations with current and future clients. As a leader they will be responsible for the development and delivery of successful transportation projects such as bridges and roads.
Provides direct oversight of plan reviews, specifications, and oversight of tasks; acts as advisor and is actively involved to meet schedules and resolve problems.
The role will be working on an as needed basis each week. The role will be responsible for managing the scope and integration of subcontractors and employees. Support business development and the delivery of proposals while maintaining relationships with clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Leadership and growth of our Pennsylvania Transportation Practice.
• Provide oversight and input on transportation projects from inception to delivery, including bringing in new clients and managing existing client relationships.
• Assist with, and be actively engaged with prospective client's relationship building and maintenance.
• Responsible for assisting with managing and monitoring financial performance of project budgets.
• Performs on technically complex projects as a technical resource by providing guidance to other team members.
• Stays up to date on regulatory changes and may establish working relationships with regulatory officials.
• Participate in client functions, trade shows and conferences.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
• Proven leadership abilities.
• Business development experience building and maintaining productive relationships with a client base.
• Technical expert in Transportation design and construction.
• Efficient project management of multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience checking the work of others for accuracy and completeness.
• Understands client expectations, budgeting, proposal writing, invoicing, and collecting accounts receivable.
Education and Experience
• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 25 years of experience in business growth and delivery in the transportation industry.
• Experience and contacts within local and state agencies.

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
