Senior Civil Engineer, Public Works Folsom, CA | Full-Time Salary: $145,000-$165,000 DOE + Annual Bonus
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll lead projects while providing technical guidance and mentorship across the Public Works team. Responsibilities include:
Manage the planning, design, and delivery of Public Works infrastructure projects from proposal through construction
Serve as Engineer of Record for roadway, utility, drainage, water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects
Prepare and oversee plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and construction documents
Lead project teams while managing schedules, budgets, quality control, and client expectations
Coordinate with municipalities, utility agencies, contractors, developers, and regulatory agencies
Provide construction support, respond to RFIs, review submittals, and assist during construction administration
Mentor and develop junior engineers, designers, and technical staff
Perform technical reviews to ensure compliance with agency standards and engineering best practices
Participate in proposal preparation, interviews, scope development, and fee estimates
Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients while identifying opportunities for future work
Contribute to the continued growth and success of R.E.Y.'s Public Works practice
What We're Looking For
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
California Professional Engineer (PE) License
10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
Significant experience delivering Public Works and municipal infrastructure projects
Strong knowledge of roadway, grading, drainage, utility, water, and wastewater design
Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules simultaneously
Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
Preferred
Project management experience
Existing relationships with Northern California public agency clients
Proven ability to mentor engineers and technical staff
Business development or proposal experience
