Senior Civil Engineer, Public Works
Folsom, CA | Full-Time
Salary: $145,000-$165,000 DOE + Annual Bonus

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you'll lead projects while providing technical guidance and mentorship across the Public Works team.
Responsibilities include:
  • Manage the planning, design, and delivery of Public Works infrastructure projects from proposal through construction
  • Serve as Engineer of Record for roadway, utility, drainage, water, wastewater, and municipal infrastructure projects
  • Prepare and oversee plans, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and construction documents
  • Lead project teams while managing schedules, budgets, quality control, and client expectations
  • Coordinate with municipalities, utility agencies, contractors, developers, and regulatory agencies
  • Provide construction support, respond to RFIs, review submittals, and assist during construction administration
  • Mentor and develop junior engineers, designers, and technical staff
  • Perform technical reviews to ensure compliance with agency standards and engineering best practices
  • Participate in proposal preparation, interviews, scope development, and fee estimates
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients while identifying opportunities for future work
  • Contribute to the continued growth and success of R.E.Y.'s Public Works practice


What We're Looking For

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • California Professional Engineer (PE) License
  • 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience
  • Significant experience delivering Public Works and municipal infrastructure projects
  • Strong knowledge of roadway, grading, drainage, utility, water, and wastewater design
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules simultaneously
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship skills
Preferred
  • Project management experience
  • Existing relationships with Northern California public agency clients
  • Proven ability to mentor engineers and technical staff
  • Business development or proposal experience
