Key Responsibilities- Lead the design and development of thermoset elastomer products, including components produced via injection molding, compression molding, and extrusion processes
- Partner with external suppliers to develop injection molds, compression molds, and extrusion dies that meet quality and performance specifications
- Apply expert-level 2D and 3D CAD skills to create detailed engineering drawings and models (Pro/ENGINEER preferred)
- Manage engineering design for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems in commercial facility applications
- Leverage knowledge of machining methods, material selection, pneumatics, hydraulics, electro-mechanical actuation, and robotics to drive design decisions
- Ensure all designs comply with ISO 9001 quality standards and applicable customer requirements
- Evaluate manufacturability throughout the design process and proactively address design-for-manufacturing challenges
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through written reports and oral presentations
- Champion cross-functional collaboration, engaging teams with diverse priorities to align on solutions
- Lead root-cause analysis and problem-solving efforts on complex engineering challenges, conducting comparative evaluation of multiple solutions
- Develop comprehensive project plans that support organizational goals, ensuring on-time delivery and resource alignment
- Coordinate and manage information flow across multi-functional teams to keep projects on track
Minimum Qualifications- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering experience, including supervisory, management, or project management responsibilities
- Minimum of 5 years of directly related experience in elastomeric product engineering or equivalent discipline
- Strong proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD; Pro/ENGINEER experience strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
