Job Description

Join a growing Camera team where Image Signal Processing (ISP) is a direct lever for differentiated ADAS performance and customer value. You will own the path from raw sensor data to stable, perception-optimized images, turning complex real-world scenes and customer requirements into production-ready camera behavior that helps computer vision functions make accurate, reliable decisions. This position is part of ZF's ADAS & HPC business, which is entering an exciting new phase of growth and transformation within the advanced automotive technology space. The business unit is planned for divestiture, creating a unique opportunity to help shape the future of next-generation driver assistance and high-performance computing technologies.

What you can look forward to as Senior Engineer- Image Signal Processing/Camera Function:
  • Tune ISP modules including auto exposure, auto white balance, HDR/WDR, demosaicing, noise reduction and sharpening for ADAS perception performance.
  • Develop scenario-based tuning profiles for daylight, night, low-light and high-dynamic-range driving conditions.
  • Improve image clarity, temporal stability and consistency so downstream perception algorithms can extract dependable features.
  • Align camera behavior with ADAS use cases such as lane detection, object detection and traffic sign recognition.
  • Evaluate ISP changes through algorithm-in-the-loop testing to measure impact on perception accuracy, robustness and false-positive/false-negative behavior.
  • Investigate image and perception failures using captured imagery, logs, measurements and debugging tools, then drive root-cause resolution.
  • Balance image quality, latency, memory, throughput and compute efficiency across embedded automotive platforms, sensors and driving scenarios.
  • Collaborate with computer vision, sensor, optics, hardware, embedded software, sensor-fusion, application engineering and customer-facing teams to deliver production-ready ISP configurations and support acquisition, demonstrations, safety activities and series development.

Your Profile as Senior Engineer- Image Signal Processing/Camera Function:
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in image signal processing and ADAS or computer-vision functions.
  • Bachelor's in optical, electrical or computer engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.
  • Deep understanding of the ISP pipeline: AE, AWB, HDR/WDR, demosaicing, noise reduction, sharpening and related artifacts.
  • Hands-on experience tuning ISP functions for machine perception or ADAS use cases.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ for embedded systems and Python for analysis or prototyping.
  • Experience with OpenCV, MATLAB or comparable image-processing tools.
  • Working knowledge of camera sensors, optics, noise, motion blur, distortion and image-quality trade-offs.
  • Demonstrated root-cause analysis across the camera, ISP, perception and ADAS chain.
  • Bachelor's in optical, electrical or computer engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience.

What We Offer:
  • A supportive collaborative team environment
  • Annual Incentive Plan
  • Paid Vacation
  • Personal Time
  • 401k Plan
  • Health Care Benefits
