Micron Technology is seeking a Global Facilities Tool Installation Engineer to drive strategic alignment, standardization, and continuous improvement of Tool Installation (TI) programs across the global manufacturing network. In this role, you will partner closely with Site Facilities teams, Global Procurement, Technology Development, and manufacturing team members to establish and implement best-known methods (BKMs), standardize business processes and technical specifications, and improve operational performance across DRAM and NAND fabrication facilities.
The successful candidate will provide leadership for global TI initiatives, drive cross-site collaboration, support benchmarking and performance improvements, and ensure alignment with Micron's business strategy. This position requires strong program management, technical expertise, data-driven decision-making, and the ability to influence partners across a global organization. Occasional international travel and support during non-standard business hours may be required.
Responsibilities
• Lead and support global Tool Installation (TI) programs and site-level projects to ensure alignment with strategic business objectives.
• Drive standardization and continuous improvement of TI best-known methods (BKMs), business processes, material specifications, and design package requirements across manufacturing sites.
• Develop and maintain global alignment for TI systems, including TSR, TUM, facilities capacity planning, documentation standards, and bid sheet processes.
• Monitor project schedules, key performance metrics, and benchmarking data to identify improvement opportunities and drive execution across fabs.
• Partner with facilities, manufacturing, procurement, suppliers, and engineering teams to optimize tool installation processes, capacity planning, safety, cost, and operational performance.
• Lead multi-functional problem-solving efforts, facilitate knowledge sharing, and drive adoption of proven solutions across the global network.
• Mentor and guide project managers and team members, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional development.
• Present project updates, strategic recommendations, and performance insights to senior leadership to support business decisions and roadmap alignment.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in semiconductor fabrication facilities, tool installation, facilities engineering, or related manufacturing operations, preferably within advanced wafer fabrication environments.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex programs or projects involving multiple collaborators andmulti-functionall teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Proven ability to build effective working relationships with internal team members, suppliers, and contractors while managing multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting 300mm (12-inch) semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities.
• Knowledge of facilities tool installation requirements, cleanroom utility systems, equipment vendor installation processes, and capacity planning methodologies.
• Experience with global or centralized operational teams and driving process standardization across multiple sites.
• Proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau; experience with AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.
• Experience managing CAPEX and OPEX budgets and presenting project results and recommendations to executive leadership.
• Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
