Full Job Description
The Role

The Senior Engineer focuses on developing the non-pipeline alternatives (NPA) assessment process, which will include continuing to develop digital assessment tools. They also partner with asset engineers to integrate the climate compliance requirements into the Company's risk-based asset management strategy.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with current gas and electric process owners to identify process enhancements to evaluate NPAs to gas infrastructure investments
  • Assist the technical team with program support in the development of NPA and Integrated Energy Planning (IEP) software applications
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to implement NPA frameworks, establish IEP best practices and other future of heat initiatives
  • Support implementation of the Company's networked geothermal project and targeted electrification demonstration program
  • Provide engineering support for the Company's decarbonization efforts, which includes regulatory filings, white paper collaboration and research activities


About You

  • Bachelors' degree in an engineering discipline required, ABET-accreditation preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering or technical project role required
  • Previous gas planning experience utilizing Synergi gas hydraulic modeling software or equivalent preferred
  • Previous experience or training with decarbonization technologies such as geothermal heating systems, renewable natural gas projects or hydrogen engineering projects preferred
  • Previous experience developing long and short-term investment plans using risk-based gas asset management principles preferred
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication required
  • Strong computer skills, proficiency with MS Office Suite required
  • Experience with utility work management systems, advanced SQL queries and data models, advanced Python skills and managing large-scale data systems across cloud and enterprise platforms preferred
  • Valid driver's license required


Salary

$123,000 - $144,000 a year
