Overview

As a Senior Engineer, Data Engineering & Intelligence you will own the design, development, and maintenance of business intelligence capabilities with special focus on dbt, SQL and Python as tools to create ETL pipelines. You will apply knowledge of data structures and pipelines to help drive the organization's data-driven decision making, shape and re-design the data architecture, champion automated workflows, and enable insights that impact business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Independently conceptualize, develop and document data pipeline architecture to support reporting tools.
  • Own the creation of automated reporting backends with high levels of efficiency and accuracy in BigQuery.
  • Maintain thorough expertise of the client data, its nature, and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members to understand data needs and develop meaningful solutions.
    • Drive the automation of repetitive workflows, quality assurance and data processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Detail-oriented while keeping sight of the bigger picture.
  • Fully proficient in SQL and Python.
  • Prior experience in Google Cloud services such as BigQuery, GCS, Cloud SQL, ML, or similar Cloud services platforms.
  • Experience independently building and optimizing data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
  • Extensive experience analyzing data to identify issues and inconsistencies.
  • Passionate about innovation, data and understanding consumer behavior.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven hands-on expertise with version control software (Git), leveraging LLMs and writing technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with dbt a strong plus.
  • Ability to independently acquire new skills and master new tools.

Compensation Range: USD $73,150.00 - USD $112,554.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
