Full Job Description
Work Flexibility: Onsite

What you will do-

As a Senior Engineer, Continuous Improvement, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving value streams. You will design lean systems, influence cross-functional teams, and execute improvement initiatives to continuously drive top performance from our production system. This is an onsite position at Stryker PV in Irvine, CA.

Additional responsibilities:

  • Lead value stream mapping workshops and kaizen events


  • Oversee future state implementation


  • Monitor & improve lean metrics (lead time, changeover time, inventory levels, etc.)


  • Evaluate / design and implement process and process flow improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste, while maintaining or improving product quality


  • Partner with Finance associates to quantify CI cost reductions


  • Personally execute improvements


  • Coach others in Lean concepts


  • Work closely and collaboratively with members of other teams in a fast-paced environment


  • Identify root causes of issues, determine potential solutions, and evaluate them against requirements


  • Follow the company's standards for process development, quality and safety


  • Support New Product Introduction and/or Legacy product Ramp-Up plans.


  • Contribute to infrastructure configuration to ensure optimal efficiencies


What you need-

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline required
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience required
  • Experience working in Medical Device or a highly regulated industry required
  • Certification in Lean manufacturing - preferred
  • Ability to identify waste, formulate action plans and drive improvement - preferred
  • Shingijutsu methodology experience or similar - highly preferred
